Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, crisp and sharp apple. Some boozy/fermentation notes.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. Sour and tannic dry apples that have some funk to it. Lots of bold and sour upfront, almost enough to pucker. Full-bodied.
After Taste: Apple reduces leaving a long-lasting dry finish with some funky elements. Tart notes remain on the tongue.
On ice: Overall flavour reduced, but not by too much.

Additional Notes:  Daughters Cider offers the Thos Kilbank 1890, named after a previous owner of the land. Pretty sour upfront, almost to make you wince. Also tart, funky and semi-sharp.  Lots of elements in this tannic offering that has a full body.  Lingers a long time with some residue. Some film elements left over, with almost a saline finish on the lips.
