Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Sweet caramel, bright dessert apples. Hints of funk.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Slightly sharp and bitter apples with a dessert feel that quickly melts into a toasted caramel flavour.  A bit of body to start, with some sugar/sweetness and tart green apple notes.
After Taste: Intensity dissipates quickly leaving a short finish and a hint of caramel flavour that reminds us of the famous caramels squares.
On ice: Slightly reduced flavour on ice. Smoother caramel, less apple.

Additional Notes:  Crimson Cider’s Cara-Melt My Heart has an intense green apple start with an initially toasted brown caramel flavour, then it becomes a smoother, sweeter caramel as it goes along. A lot going on upfront, it mellows quite quickly.  With a combination of flavours not often paired in ciders, it leaves this semi-sweet and lighter offering as a different experience.
