Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Aged heritage apple characteristics. Semi-creamy. Musty, cellared, and funky notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Bold bittersharp apples, some heritage-variety notes. Pulpy and semi-creamy. Some tannins that grip and peel notes/mouthfeel.
After Taste: Apple becomes a bit softer. Fermentation and cellaring notes are more obvious here. Lingering tannins and crisp apple notes.
On ice: Reduces tannin and mouthfeel. Waterdown apple notes.
Additional Notes: The 2022 vintage of Cold Creek’s Éirinn go Brách is a dry, tannin-hefty cider that bursts with bold apple notes and characteristics. With a ton of bittersharp and heritage variety notes, the seamlessly blend for an elevated experience. High tannin and acidic, its crisp and the tannins make it quite gripping on the palate. Yet, it still has a soft, creaminess to it. Fermentation and cellaring notes add to the depth. A long-lingering cider that we highly recommend don’t drink on ice, as it strips it of its purpose.
