Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Mild aroma. Very sweet raspberry and sweet apple notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Some acidity. Quick hit of fresh sweet raspberries that are slightly tart. Medley of apple flavours provide undertone notes. Minor pear notes.
After Taste: Raspberry becomes more candied in taste. Some more tart flavours of the apple come through. Long lasting with a bit of a sugary residue left behind in the mouth.
On ice: Less sweet and reduced carbonation. Raspberry taste reduced. Becomes a thinner consistency.
Additional Notes: A semi-candied raspberry and apple flavour, the Forbidden Pink raspberry flavoured cider is light and crisp. While made at a winery, the elements reminds us more of a cooler cocktail than wine-inspired. This is a rather sweet cider that leaves a sugar film in the mouth that lingers, so ice helps cut that residue, sweetness and makes it slightly more dry to consume.
