Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Very musty/cellared smelling. Sweet, pulpy apple. Mild spice notes.
Initial Taste: Mild bite from acidity and carbonation. Orange earthy notes amongst the pulpy bitter-sweet and tannic apples. Crisp and sharp. Caramelized.
After Taste: Apple flavours continue, become creamier. Mustiness really comes out and lingers. Slightly smoky and slight spice notes. Ends physically dry in the mouth. Many cellared, aged tastes.
On ice: Much smoother, a lot of harsher aspects are reduced. Creamier apples flavour.
Additional Notes: The Coat-Albret Bouché d’Artisan Brut is one of the cellared, rustic tasting French cidres we’ve had. With a lot of creamy and caramelized apples, musty/cellar and aged notes come out strong near the end. Embodying a lot of what makes ciders from the region great, it has a decently heavy mouthfeel. Has a very copper in colour cider. Very tannic and physically dry for the mouth upon finishing.
