Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Sweet raspberry and dark berry aromas
Initial Taste: Heavy sour bite, some hints of sweet berries including raspberry, cherry and cranberry
After Taste: Sourness keeps growing for a few seconds before it finishes with a strong cranberry and raspberry taste. Aftertaste lingers a long time – that becomes dry. Leaves a gritty feeling on the teeth and pallet.
On ice: Similar sourness, but the ice enhances the flavour making it a little easier to drink.
Additional Notes: Clafeld Framboise is a puckering drink that you would think is more cranberry based than apple. This strong, higher ABV cider leaves a long, dry taste in your mouth. This cider has a heavy juice base, is very tart, and might be better enjoyed on ice.
