Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Dry, fermented pear (skin + flesh). Earthy, root ginger notes.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. A quick earthy ginger that also “bites”. Bartlett pear-like notes that are skin and flesh.
After Taste: Pear becomes brighter. Root ginger earthiness and generic herby notes remain. Ginger faintly lingers.
On ice: Body thins. Pear is slightly brighter, probably because ginger is reduced. Reduced intensity overall.

Additional Notes:  Burst’s Pear + Ginger cider is a departure from their fruit flavoured apple ciders, with a unique small batch offering here. What really stands out with this one is the ginger is only a bit “spicy”, unlike in some similar ciders, and the ginger comes across as more of a root vegetable and very earthy in nature. The pear is dry, and it becomes brighter as the experience goes on.
