Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Medley of bold apple characteristics. Tannins + acidity.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation – fizzy, tingly bubbles. Semi-bright, juicy apple notes that tastes a bit fresh-pressed. Calming tannins and natural apple sugars.
After Taste: Apples become smoother but don’t change much flavour wise. Tannins linger a bit. Slightly drier with a semi long-lingering  earthy aftertaste.
On ice: Thinner body. Slightly reduced intensity flavours but not much difference.

Additional Notes: For being a ‘wild’ blend and wild fermented, Brooker’s Batch #3 Lightly Sparkling Cider is actually pretty smooth and approachable – not terribly funky or farmhouse-tasting, more woodsey. A lot of bold apple characteristics here and from a medley of apples it seems. A fizzy carbonation greets you. Quickly, a strong mixture of apple notes comes through. Semi-bright apples that are juicy and taste fresh pressed. They become smoother but don’t change that much in the aftertaste. Some tannins that are calming, not gritty or aggressive. Crisp, balanced acidity.
