Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Earthy citrus. Some natural bitterness. Sharp apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Dry apple, quickly followed by a bright, tangy yellow citrus blend.
After Taste: Yuzu becomes a bit more focused here and a touch candied in nature. Apple peel returns in the finish, with lingering tangy and bitter citrus notes.
On ice: Watered down flavour. Slightly thinner body.
Additional Notes: Brickwork’s Yuzu Lemon cider is a citrus-focused cider as promised, leaning more on the tangy and earthy side overall. You really get the apple in the start and finish, with the citrus really being the focus in the middle. The citrus fruits become brighter and more candied as they go on. The apple tastes very similar to their Batch 1904 (quite possibly could be the base).
