Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Musty and acidic. Matured raspberry smell. Metallic and smokey undertones.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation and acidity. Tart, semi-dry apple. Aged raspberry flavour with mild blueberry detectable. Musty and earthy.
After Taste: Becomes more wine-like tasting. Becomes astringent with berries becoming more forward than the apples. Semi-dry, winey-finish.
On ice: Carbonation is cut. Astringency and mustiness are cut, becomes more cider-like than wine-inspired.
Additional Notes: Brickwork’s Rosé starts off more as a fruity cider and ends being more like a semi-dry rosé wine. Being very astringent and musty, it accomplishes its goal to share similarities to the wine it is inspired from. Drink on ice if you want a more cider-forward experience. More acidic and more tannic than other Brickworks offerings.
