Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet raspberry. Hint of lemon with some dessert apples.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Quick hit of dessert apples that’s overtaken quickly by some semi-dry and tart raspberries that have some sweet undertones to it. Tart lemon juice.
After Taste: Long lasting and becomes more tart on the raspberry side. Some more dry elements. Slight film and fermentation notes with a touch of bitter lemon-peel in the final finish.
On ice: Minimal changes – though a little less lemon/sour on-ice
Additional Notes: Brickworks Raspberry Lemonade has a few elements going on. Originally available at their taproom (now closed), it has a blend of semi-tart raspberry, dry lemon and dessert apples. Not as sweet as one might expect. Long lasting aftertaste – in particular the lemon – with a bit of fermentation notes.
