Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Tart, plump blueberry. Fragrant lavender. Dessert apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Punchy, floral lavender with some perfume element. Light fresh and slightly tart blueberry juice. Herbiness.
After Taste: Lavender slowly dwindles and apples peak through. Blueberries remain tart, a bit tangy. Lavender lingers a while on the palate.
On ice: Lavender is reduced, less punchy and it’s better integrated with apples.
Additional Notes: Bonnieheath’s True Blue is a lavender-heavy, blueberry cider. Using lavender grown at their estate, it is showcased well in this cider, being punchy, herby and very floral. It stays throughout the journey, lingering awhile after the blueberry and apples are gone. Blueberries are tart and fresh-tasting. Apples are only really distinguishable near the end, as the bolder blueberry and lavender weakens. A fresh, summer-inspired offering.
