Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Earthy, tart berry. Apple peel.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Quick, tart haskap berry that’s infused amongst the apple peel notes. Gritty and slightly tannic. Some bitterness.
After Taste: Becomes smoother, and more apple focused. Some minerality. Some mild black pepper notes. Semi-long lingering notes that includes saline elements..
On ice: Less carbonation. Minimal flavour difference.
Additional Notes: Bergeron Estate’s Haskap Cider is a fun berry-infusion remix of their original Cole Point cider. It tastes like a very natural cider all around. Earthy, slightly tart haskap berries are more obvious upfront. The apple tastes more peel-oriented, with some grit and tannins obvious. Has some unique aspects like minerality and black pepper notes detectable. An overall lighter-bodied cider that leans white wine-like.
