Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, sharp apples. Touch of crispness, hint of funk.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Bittersharp, crisp, acidity-forward apples. A blend of dry apples. with some yellow variety notes, maybe golden russet too. Some tannins.
After Taste: Acidity slowly weakens. Apples become creamier in body. Some funk and fermentation in the exhale.
On ice: Acidity and sharpness reduced. Overall intensity and mouthfeel watered down.
Additional Notes: Banjo Cider’s Citizens cider is made with apples purchased from neighbours and forged. A dry, heritage offering, it features a blend of apple varieties, primarily bittersharp. You get some golden russet/yellow variety notes. Acidity forward, and tannic, the apple body becomes creamier in the finish. A unique funk and some fermentation notes, in particular noticeable as you exhale. A traditional cider with modern touches.
