Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Boozy and smoky. Baked apple. Syrupy.
Initial Taste: No bite. Quickly a syrupy apple base that’s sweet. Baked and smoky notes. Roasted apples with some caramel and candy corn notes.
After Taste: Maple syrup additive becomes more obvious. A lingering smoky profile. Syrupy body and sweetness stays a while.
On ice: Thinner bodied. A touch less sweet and less smoky notes.
Additional Notes: Banjo’s Fire Cider is a fortified, syrupy offering that’s 10.5%. Tasting of roasted and baked apples from start to finish, it is a quality representation of this lesser known style. Smoky notes add uniqueness and they stay smolding on the palate for a while but are balanced. A sweeter choice, the backsweetening of maple syrup really shines in the finish.
