Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium candied raspberry. Tart apple and cranberry.
Initial Taste: Mild bite from acidity. Quick, sweet candied raspberry. Some sourness from the cranberry juice.
After Taste: Raspberry flavour diminished from the primary taste, but cranberry remains strong. Some mild sour apple flavours peak through. Sugary/sweet residue that lingers in the mouth. Dry finish.
On ice: Becomes thinner and less sweet on ice. Less tart but more alcohol flavour.
Additional Notes: This raspberry cider offering from 401 Cider Co is a semi-sweet, candied, somewhat more commercially appealing offering from the company. It starts out with sour raspberries and transitions into a dry, cranberry finish. As a slightly sour but mostly sweet cider, we recommend consuming this on ice to thin the cider out.
