Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Mild, musty cranberry with some tart sweet candied hints.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity. Quick burst of sour cranberry with some smooth apple.
After Taste: Apple and cranberry both continue for a long time. Goes more tart with a semi-dry, sweeter finish. Elements of tangy fresh juice from the cranberry. Lime becomes present in the end of the aftertaste.
On ice: A little lighter in flavour and less carbonation sensation. Tang reduced.
Additional Notes: Inspired from a cosmopolitan cocktail, the 401 Cranberry Cosmo Cider is a sweet offering, having a strong cranberry base, with a slight taste of lime to finish – similar to the cocktail. Think a full-flavoured vodka-cranberry, with the vodka replaced with a cider, topped with a lime. Sweet from start to finish, but not overpowering.
