Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Juicy, tart raspberry. Funk and pungent sourness. Pulpy apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation and acidity. Quickly sour, jammy raspberry. Funky and farmhouse notes. Dank aged apples.
After Taste: As harsher elements reduce, a tart raspberry further emerges. Hint of pear skin. Ends dry, funky and sour with some apple characteristics lingering.
On ice: Reduced acidity and carbonation. Less flavour overall.

Additional Notes:  In Steel Town’s second Barrique release, the raspberry version continues the barrel-aged sour series with a lot of funk and acidity. Pretty raspberry flavour forward, it continues into the aftertaste with tart and jammy elements.  Funky and a bit pungent, it’s also a decently sour experience. Apples are dank, aged and unfiltered tasting with a bit of pear that brightens the offering up. Carbonation is more assertive than your average cider, adding a tingle to the sipping experience.
