Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Pungent strong apples, oak and astringency.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Rustic apples, slightly pulpy and quite clean for a scrumpy offering. Juicy, bright but still dry. Semi-tangy and acidic.
After Taste: Apple dissipates and becomes more funky and tannic in the aftertaste. Average to quick aftertaste length. Fermentation notes linger.
On ice: Becomes much more clean and loses a lot of the “scrumpy” elements
Additional Notes: Two Bloke’s Scrumpy is an oak cask offering that compared to other scrumpies we’ve had is more apple and juice forward, but still undeniably dry. Not as harsh as others, it has a clean oak vibe to it, leaving it dry and woody. Good funk notes and tannins in the finish.
