Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Mild aroma. Semi-sweet. Bright apples with slight sulphur notes.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Smooth, creamy, fleshy and pulpy apple notes. Clean with some brightness. Some bitter notes and some fermentation aspects.
After Taste: Apple drops out and becomes a little more like a crisp lager in taste. More bitter and fermentation notes enter and it lingers a long time with a slight sulphur finish.
On ice: Little changes. Slightly less apple.
Additional Notes: The Argyle Apple Cider by Walkerville City Cidery /Brewery is a medium bodied, apple forward offering that’s pretty clean but has a bit of sulphur and fermentation notes in the end. It drinks a lot like a crisp lager and a standard pub cider, which makes sense with the brewery background. Not too sweet, with a bit of peel and fleshy notes, its a middle of the road cider all around, which isn’t a bad thing!

It’s delicious. The rep assured me there was no sugar in it except apples but I looked it up and it’s actually 18grams of sugar per can. I’m quite disappointed because I’m diabetic.
