Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, clean and rustic apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. A quick thick and sweet honey and apple that is slightly pulpy, but bright. Floral essences.
After Taste: Apple continues, becomes slightly less sweet. Some underlying bitter hints. Honey comes out strong here. Lingering finish that is mostly clean except for some coating honey.
On ice: Slightly thinner mouthfeel. No flavour change.

Additional Notes:  Heeman’s Ambrosia Cider is a sweeter than anticipated cider, but it’s not sugary, and it is very driven by the Carolinian Honey added – in terms of sweetness, flavour and mouthfeel. The apple base is soft and uplifting, complimenting the heavy honey presence (that is most noticeable in the finish). The cider has some floral and bitter hints, adding to its complexity.
