Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Semi-sweet apple with smooth hops and floral notes.
Initial Taste: No bite. Quickly acidic with a blend of dessert and heritage apple flavours.
After Taste: Tangy apple with some tannins followed by a light, fresh hops taste. The hops, although not strong, remains a long time once the apple fades.
On ice: Smoother on ice, less tangy and a little less apple.
Additional Notes: Floral and light, as opposed to traditional bitter and soapy hops like seen in IPAs and the occasional hopped cider, the Kings Mill Hopped Cider (still edition) is crisp and quite apple forward with a balanced blend of hops. Smoother than other hopped ciders, its 9% and easy to drink so be mindful. Would complement food well. They also have a carbonated version of this cider.
