Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright but dry fermented apples. Mild creaminess.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Bright yet earthy apples, tasting rather dry and with little residual sugar. Some elements of the fermentation process obvious. Buttery notes like a chardonnay.
After Taste: Becomes tangier, with slight notes of green apple. Stronger apple flavour further into the sip. Fermentation elements are reduced substantially, becomes decently clean to finish.
On ice: Becomes thinner, though the apple elements remain the same. Less carbonation.
Additional Notes: Not as sparkling as expected, and not as sweet as it smells, Red Stones’ Sparkling Cider has a unique taste that becomes more apple forward as it is consumed. It starts more heavily with the fermentation process flavour notes and finishes decently dry and cleaner. A lot of depth and approachable but still quite sophisticated. Invokes memories of a chardonnay with the body and buttery notes.
