Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Heavy caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg aromas. Hints of sweet caramelized apples with malty notes.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Malty and caramel tastes with a sticky taste and feel. Slight bitter notes from spices. Cinnamon and nutmeg are very prominent. Dessert apple flesh focused.
After Taste: Sweet notes strongly remain. Cinnamon and spices become smoother. Slight nutty notes apparent. Apple pie and maple syrup finish that lingers long.
On ice: The ice cuts some of the sweetness and spices. Alcohol flavours more drawn out on ice than without.
Additional Notes: Thornbury’s Spiced Cider is a very unique and soul-warming drink – perfect for fall consumption. While enjoyable in most situations, we recommend it as a dessert beverage as it is quite sweet and heavy. Caramelized flavours are the main focus throughout, with a fleshy apple base helping to boost the other flavours + being enjoyable on its own. Spices are also decently forward, with cinnamon and nutmeg coming the most out. When the cider is heated (as per the recommendation on the can), it becomes creamier and smoother to consume with less bite and spices. Hot or cold, it will lull you into a cozy state
