Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Light aroma. Mild mint. Some bitterness and booziness. Hints of pulpy apple.
Initial Taste: Strong bite from carbonation. Bitterness and mint/herbal notes greet you. Astringent and boozy upfront. Pulpy, apple flesh that’s a bit creamy.
After Taste: Herb notes become a defined, unique mint. Apple notes become drier, retaining a fleshy creaminess though. Minerality lingers.
On ice: Reduced body and flavour on ice, a less punchy and herbal mint

Additional Notes: For being a 4% ciderkin, Brooker’s 2023 Batch 3 Natural Mint Ciderkin is surprisingly fruit forward and boozy tasting. With a creamy, pulpy base, it counters the bold, bitter herbal notes from the apple mint (grown on their property) that becomes more mint-defined in the aftertaste. It’s got a fermented note throughout, making you wonder if it’s actually much higher than it is for a ciderkin. It’s definitely got 2 unique contrasting types of flavour layers on top of one another, that makes for a unique creation and works together nonetheless.
