Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Resinous hops. Earthy, forest notes. Crisp apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. A quick hop flavour – including some pine-like resin notes. Earthy, but crisp apple base. Yeast esters adding minor notes.
After Taste: Hops become smoother and more tropical tasting. Some citrus notes. Apple becomes drier and thinner. Semi-long lingering hops, yeast and apple notes. Minerality and long-lasting.
On ice: Thinner and apple is weakened. Hops remain similar.
Additional Notes: Coronation Hall’s Thomas Graham Hopped is a semi-crisp hopped cider that doesn’t hold back on the hops. Starting off with a bold hops flavour that is a bit resinous, it does become softer but still present into the aftertaste, with some tropical fruit hints emerging. The apples are strongest upfront, a bit earthy and with some acidity. But they do become thinner and drier into the finish. Yeast makes the cider a bit powdery, and adds some fruity esters to it. IPA/beer drinkers will find this an easy transition.
