Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dry, crisp apples. A hint of funk + fermentation.
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Bittersharp apple varietal dominate and with some tingly acidity. A true blend of many apple notes and varieties. Semi-dry, with some natural apple sweetness.
After Taste: Apple notes become more peel focused in the finish. Very crisp, semi-bright here. Lingering tannins and apple flavours that stay a bit.
On ice: Ice strips a lot of flavour notes and elements.
Additional Notes: Twin Pines The Fifty Cider is made with over 50 varieties of apples all grown on their epic estate orchards. You get a lot of very apple forward notes, coming from many different types, such as cider apple-specific varieties and others such as bittersharps. A dry cider overall, there is some natural apple sweetness but it’s really driven by the tannins, acidity and crispness of the apples. Ice strips it of its essence so we only recommend it if it’s too intense or dry for you. Surprisingly 50+ of something at once is not overwhelming and yet rather delightful.
