Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dry, semi-crisp apples. Fermentation and earthiness. Acidity.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite and slight acidity. Dry, pulpy, sharp apple base. Slightly tangy. Mild astringency and some fermentation notes – slight funkiness also. A few pear drop notes.
After Taste: Apples become a bit brighter but it remains dry and more crisp. Lingering apple grit and flavour.
On ice: Thinner body. Cleaner – less fermentation notes.
Additional Notes: Generation Cider Co’s 1910 Original is a dry, sharp apple offering named after the year their orchard was first planted. A pulpy, slightly tangy apple greets you, as well as some of the process fermentation and funky notes. Apples become a bit brighter into the finish, but this is a simple and straightforward dry apple cider that seems to have very few residual (if even none) residual sugars within. Semi-crisp.
