Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Tart blueberries. Herbiness. Hint of crisp apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Quick tart and very dry blueberry. A slightly crisp apple base. An earthy herb presence, with lavender more present.
After Taste: Becomes a more generic herb taste. Apple is a bit more noticeable as dominant blueberry dwindles. Saline notes.
On ice: Thinner body. Much reduced blueberry body and taste. Weakened herb impact.
Additional Notes: Shiny’s small batch Blueberry Mint Lavender is a blueberry dominate ride, with some herb impact and punch, but not too forceful. Right from the start you get a very dry blueberry flavour that is tart and even with a touch of wild notes to it. Made with northern apples, their semi-crisp notes can be tasted, but it doesn’t shine too much, and doesn’t have too much tannin either. There is a generic herb aspect to it, we didn’t get too much mint, but we got some lavender notes upfront. The apples are more obvious as the blueberry weakens. Ice dramatically reduces all elements.
