Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Earthy, woodsy apple. A bit dank on the nose.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite, almost nothing. Very dry, golden/yellow apple characteristics that give it a touch of bitter-sharp notes. Fleshy base, with peel infusion elements. Earthy notes.
After Taste: Becomes a bit softer, but remains mostly the same to the end. Buttery-like notes at finish in an average aftertaste length. Grittier in the finish.
On ice: Reduced apple flavour. Slightly brighter.
Additional Notes: Howell Road’s Goldrush is an extra dry single-varietal. It’s mostly a singular apple journey from start to finish. Tasting earthy and natural, there’s only the slightest hint of sweetness. With golden/yellow apple characteristics, it’s bright, but also a bit woodsy and gritty. Some chardonnay/butter-like notes at the end.
