Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Pulpy, sour apple with cellared elements. Touch of acidity but upbeat.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Blend of pulpy and peel with a hint of tannic elements. Bone dry and much cleaner than it smells. Hints of citrus.
After Taste: More apple elements appear in the aftertaste as the pulpiness is more present. Some funk and sour notes but not overwhelming.
On ice: Reduced overall flavour and intensity.
Additional Notes: The Bio & Brut by Cidrerie Dragos is an organic and heavily carbonated sour/acidic cider that’s very pulpy and even a bit bright for being so dry. Lots of carbonation and trub in this one means it’s full-bodied but not overly intense (if it is for you, try on-ice). Hints of citrus, it becomes additionally apple forward in the aftertaste. We think this is bone dry with less intensity than it smells, and has more apples at the bottom of the bottle thanks to the trub.
