Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Crisp, bright apple. Hint of barreling.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Extra crisp, clean, apple juice-forward. Some tannin, some acidity. Natural sweetness from northern spy apples. Light barreling brings out some extra body.
After Taste: Becomes softer and more pulp-focused. Long lingering apple notes. Slightly more acidic in the finish.
On ice: Less acidity, less juicy.

Additional Notes:  The 2023 vintage of Cold Creek Vineyard’s flagship  Cuvée Madeline is an extra crisp and clean apple cider that’s elevated and bright. Effervescent, it’s apple juice forward from the start, right into its lingering moments of apple notes that stay awhile on the palate. Some tannins and acidity add depth, but it’s very balanced for all elements overall (except for being extra crisp). A natural sweetness to it, it only has a bit of booziness to it to remind you its 5.5%, but one could confuse this for a high quality juice.
