Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy golden russet. Clean, effervescent.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite with a slight foam. A clean, dry golden russet body with very faint natural sugars. Some astringency.
After Taste: A bit of farmhouse notes come through but cider remains smooth. Golden russet becomes a bit earthier and a bit juicer. Semi-long lingering apple notes.
On ice: Apple becomes more focused. Slightly thinner body.
Additional Notes: Last House Vineyard’s 2022 Cidre Pétillant Golden Russet is a very “clean” cider that has no off notes or no significant mouth feel texture. With a lot of wine influences, it has a very clear intention and fruit focus of golden russets. A dry golden russet body throughout, you only get the slightest natural sugar to it. Some astringency reminds you it is 10.9%. A great cider to pair with food as it wouldn’t distract, only elevate the notes of your food.
