Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Bright semi-sharp and funky apples with light fruit pulpiness.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi sharp and funky bright apples. Slight grittiness from pear. Intense initial flavour. Acidity appears sharply then dissipates.
After Taste: Pear and then apple funk dissipates, leaving a longer lasting dank element. Sourness lingers.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and watered down, slightly less gritty.

Additional Notes:  West Avenue’s Thick as Thieves is a mixed pear and apple cider with dank pear and funky, bright apple cider. This cider has a sharp acidity to it – at least initially for a quick moment. It becomes more relaxed in the aftertaste, its long lingering and a bit more earthy on the palate.  It is pretty sour and has some grit as well.
