Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pulpy orange, with valencia-like aspects. Dry apple. Hint of coriander.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. A quick pulpy and semi-juicy orange. Other citrus notes. Herby coriander undertones.
After Taste: Apple peaks through but orange remains dominate. Salty-elements to finish, with lingering orange notes. Black tea like notes, along with coriander remaining but more a generic herb by this point.
On ice: Slightly less orange, a bit more saline-forward.
Additional Notes: Two Blokes’ gose beer-inspired Gosework Orange is a unique offering that well captures the main elements of the beer style but in cider form. With a bright and pulpy-tasting orange, it is the star throughout the cider. It almost tastes Valencia orange-like, with the orange itself being clean and without any off tastes we’ve had in other orange ciders. You get a peak of the apple cider base in the finish, but the orange is the focus. With added coriander it’s also there in the underbelly throughout, with the sea salt added really giving you a saline kiss at the end.
