Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Semi-sweet with a hint of sour. Fermentation and alcohol note.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Naturally sweet, pulpy apple. Clean, bright and crisp. Honey and fermentation notes.
After Taste: Apples become a touch more sour into aftertaste. Some tannins and slightly less clean for the palate. Has a ‘boozy’ cider finish.
On ice: Thinner body. Less apple notes. Much less crisp.
Additional Notes: Kawartha County Wines and Cider’s Selwyn is a naturally sweet cider. It starts off with a sweeter dessert apples, slightly pulpy and decently crisp. It is slightly more “clean” in the start, as the fermentation and alcohol notes grow into the finish. Slightly tannic – a very traditional cider overall with a honey crisp like vibe. Ice strips the essence of the cider.
