Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Tropical pineapple and mango blend.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Strong and sweet mango and pineapple. Hint of apple flesh. Some minimal bitterness and fermentation note undertones.
After Taste: Becomes more pineapple focused, but some mango lingers. Candied fruit finish that is slightly coating on the palate.
On ice: Slightly less sweet. Thinner body. Minimal impact on fruits.
Additional Notes: Shiny’s Pineapple Mango Cider is a sweet, tropical experience in a can. Heavy on both titular fruits upfront, it ends more pineapple-focused (but mango does say). Minimal apple but a bit of flesh in the beginning. A sweeter cider, it does coat the mouth a bit with the sweetness from the fruits. With a touch of fermentation and alcohol notes, its otherwise clean and “soft” or light to drink. 7% so a bit more ABV than your average cider of this type. A good cider alternative to RTD cocktails. Very fruity, does not skimp on the adjuncts.
