Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Pungency and acetic. Aged plums. Tannins.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity. Punchy, fermented plum. Some heritage, tannic apples. Acidity and some sour notes.
After Taste: Becomes smoother and punchy elements almost gone here. Both fruits become creamier. Ends dry with some mild tannins lingering.
On ice: Thinner body. Less punchy and harsh. More plum-focused.

Additional Notes:  Revel’s Golden Plum Cider Ostara is a punchy cider with a lot of elements going on. This cider smells pungent but tastes much different. Decently acidic and sour, its very heavy upfront with strong elements, but becomes much smoother in the aftertaste. Tannic, heritage apples and fermented plums greet you very strong, but become creamier and smoother in the aftertaste. A bold cider that maybe takes a few sips of adjustment but worth the effort.
