Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Tart berry. Hint of apple flesh.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite from carbonation. Tart and plump blackberry. Fermentation and boozy notes. Hint of dessert apple.
After Taste: Blackberry notes remain. A bit of grape comes through. Becomes drier. Alcohol notes remain and build.
On ice: Thinner mouthfeel. All flavours reduced. Less alcoholic notes. Smoother and juicer.

Additional Notes:  401 Cider’s Kitchen Sink Berry Blend cider is a blackberry forward offering, but thats only the real berry we get here (also the only berry listed in the ingredients (despite being called a ‘berry blend’). A very boozy/alcoholic/fermentation note-based cider, it drinks a bit like a fruit wine instead, but it’s only 5.5%. Tart blackberries greet you and remain throughout. You get minimal apple, with some of that grape juice notes coming through in the finish. Off-dry, but becomes slightly drier in the finish.
