Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet and tart apples amongst the earthy mint and lemon balm.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Quick sweet apple before the flavour shifts to more lemon herb and mint. Mild lime and banana notes. Ginseng is also present upfront.
After Taste: Apples diminish but mint continues. Earthy ginseng and lemon balm come through even more. Semi-dry, earthy finish but still bright.
On ice: Carbonation dramatically reduced. Flavour thinner.
Additional Notes: One of the prides of Kings Mill is they use all local ingredients, with most if not all coming from their own garden. This mojito celebrates this true-to-their-roots traditions, with a bold flavoured cider that is earthy and unrefined (but in the best possible way). It’s a is creative drink, as it does not contain lime but the combination of lemon balm and ginseng seem to mimic this flavour in a unique way. With sweeter apple flavours than are typically found in Kings Mill offerings, it is fun, fruity and nice for good weather! The mint is bold and refreshing, with the whole cider being well balanced and authentic. We don’t recommend drinking it on ice as it strips the desired flavours.
