Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Bold maple and caramelized apple. Some whisky + astringency.
Initial Taste: Mild bite from carbonation. Quick, bright maple syrup taste and mouthfeel. A lot of caramelized apples.
After Taste: Earthy oak notes start to shine through, as well as nuanced whisky notes, and a mild astringency. Apples linger a long time, as well as a hint of candied maple.
On ice: Slightly less carbonation and flavour, minimal difference.

Additional Notes:  Aged on whisky-soaked oak chips, the Whisky Maple by Niagara Cider is perfect for those who want that whisky flavour but find spirit barrel-aged ciders too strong. A strong medley of unique flavours appear here. The maple syrup notes are some of the strongest we’ve had in a cider, being thicker like the syrup itself and very candied and bright. The apples are rich and caramelized, and linger a long time. The promised oak and whisky notes really emerge in the finish, medium strength and very definitive. A lot of elements but they blend well together.
