Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright lychee and some citrus. Fleshy dessert apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Quick soft hops characteristics, in particular lychee, with some mild citrus notes. Apple base tastes like red varieties, that are bright and sweeter.
After Taste: Hop flavours slowly weaken. Apple becomes a bit more vivid here. Delicate finish with lingering lychee-like notes.
On ice: Brings out more acidity on ice. Less hops flavours, slightly watered down overall.
Additional Notes: Puddicombe’s Hopped Apple Cider is a bright and light offering that has a wide appeal – including to new hopped cider drinkers. Its most obvious flavour coming from the hops is lychee like, with a hint of citrus.(Tastes more lychee than hopped overall) The blend of 12 apples in the base is fleshy, with red varieties coming through in particular. No bitterness or harsh notes – a light and breezy cider that runs a bit on the sweeter side due to the lack of sour elements.
