Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, vivid red apples. Juice and peel. Naturally sweet.
Initial Taste: No bite, some quick acidity. Bright, heavy red apple peel. Some tannins and crispness. Mild tartness.
After Taste: Remains tart and bright. Apple becomes more dry as the body thins. Some funky notes emerge at the finish.
On ice: Slight reduction in flavour and body, but not a significant difference.
Additional Notes: Brooker’s Batch #5 is a very red apple forward experience, with a tangy, tart, acidic and crisp base to satisfy. A traditional cider, it smells sweeter than it is, but its bright in both aroma and taste. You get tannins and apple peel, as well as fleshy juice and a funky twist right at the end. Brims with what defines red apples. Because of trub settling, it becomes more intense the more you drink – maybe worth a mild shake before opening to blend (or enjoy a gradually building experience)
