Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet apple with some wine-like elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Slight sweet apple with some tart notes. Mild candided rose/floral flavour.
After Taste: Become drier and earthy and tartness disappears. Lingers a little bit with some syrupy notes (a bit candied). Finishes with some apple peal tartness and dryness.
On ice: Carbonation and fizz is slightly cut. Becomes thinner and less sweet, though overall minimal change.
Additional Notes: The Strongbow Rose is a sweet, light red apple (dessert) forward drink with a bit of rose elements from the colouring – and apple peel driven. A mild apple, not overly different than other similar rosé cider offerings. Lighter than most other Strongbows, it can appeal to a wine or mixed drink enthusiast or someone who enjoys a more breezy summer drink.
