Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Pulpy heritage apple. Some spice and bruised apple elements. Dry.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Semi-creamy and tannic. Bruised and baked apple elements – including heritage apple notes. Cellaring and leather notes.
After Taste: Apple reduces, becomes even drier. Sherry and acetic -like aspects. Tart. Rustic finish.
On ice: Carbonation and some tannins educed.
Additional Notes: The Heritage Gold West Avenue is an extra dry, earthy and astringent cider. It reminds us of chewing on the skin of a tough apple, it has a lot of baked and bruised apple skin elements with a lot of funky and natural elements + fermentation notes. Still somewhat creamy upfront.
