Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Musty, bright, tannic apples with some fermentation elements
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Bright and semi-funky tannic apples with lots of peel notes to it. Quite dry yet still somewhat smooth and apple forward.
After Taste: Apple becomes cleaner and does not linger very long.  Dry finish that leaves the mouth a little bit gritty  Hints of astringency and oak.
On ice: Reduced carbonation and funk, with flavour drop

Additional Notes:  West Avenue’s Carlisle Gold is a natural cider (Pet Nat), high on tannins but still easy to consume.  It’s got a lot of elements, some from the fermentation, many from the tannins of the apple. Slightly earthy and quite dry.  Bright, mildly sweeter pulpy apple finish. Ice strips it of its essence, not recommended.
