Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Earthy and slightly acidic
Initial Taste: Medium bite from acidity, no carbonation. Rustic apples that are semi-bright and have a lot of tannic and tart elements to them.
After Taste: Apple notes slowly dissipates but remains the sole focus of the aftertaste. Long lingering and semi-thick finish. It’s mostly dry here but also remains tart.
On ice: Not a lot of change.
Additional Notes: Two Bloke’s Ida Spy is a Ida Red and Northern Spy Apple blend with no carbonation. Apple/juice forward with a lot of body, it’s semi bright, tannic and some sour elements. Quite clean, you can taste a lot of both apple varieties in the initial but also aftertaste, that lingers a long time. 6.9% gives it an extra kick – it’s a slow sipper, along with a slightly heavier body that is gripping for the palate. Decently crisp, all apple notes, nothing else (no external perceived characteristics). Medium-ish perceived sweetness but still leans more dry tasting overall (their website says its a dry cider).
