Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light-medium earthy and tannic apples. Slightly floral
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation and acidity. Caramelized heritage apple is the first and most predominate taste. Woody and earthy undertones. Tangy and gritty.
After Taste: Woodiness continues, apples become more prominent, as caramelization reduces. Semi-long lingering. Becomes a little more sweet than when it started.
On ice: Becomes more crisp on ice, most other elements remain the same.
Additional Notes: More on the sweeter side of a French Cidre, Theo Capelle is light but full-flavoured drink – with slight mustiness and woodiness. More approachable than many other French Cidres available (especially in Canada), it seems to draw influences from outside of France, as it is sweeter than others available. Some characteristics of a light ice cider. Has some crab apple flavours and tanginess noticeable.
