Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Light aroma. Pulpy apple with some acidity.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Pulpy apple that’s caramelized. Light mouthfeel. Apple is semi-sweet and fleshy dessert apple focused. Slight syrupy feel.
After Taste: Cleans out somewhat quickly but for a little lingering caramel apple.
On ice: Reduced carbonation, slightly less flavour.
Additional Notes: Stowford Press introduced to Ontario LCBOs in the summer of 2022, comes from the UK. Lighter at 4.5%, it holds a good apple feel. Quite British in its semi-dryness and apple-elements. Easier to consume than a Strongbow and less sweet than a Somersby, it fits into the international commercial profile well. Cleans out of the mouth quick and well. A good British pub cider.
