Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Mild aroma. A sweet musty single baking apple smell.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Quickly sweet apple with a heavier mouthfeel. Some acidity and dewy earthiness. Orange-like notes.
After Taste: Apple peel taste. Light pear and honey notes compliments the apples. Not a strong aftertaste but earthy and apple notes linger. Lager beer-like crispness and cleanness.
On ice: Cuts most of the carbonation and also some acidity. Sweetness remains.

Additional Notes: Spirit Tree offers a light and sweet but not sugary cider with their Applelager. A clean and crisp cider with some musty/earthy elements that reminds us of fresh apples but still with a little something more than a juice.  Tastes naturally sweet. Carbonation is well balanced, try it on ice to make it even more like an unfermented apple juice. Is slow fermented in their cellars, similar to lager style beers – as a result, it has a similar crispness and cleanness to it.
